year-end giving
As we near the end of the year, we would like to recognize our donors and their generosity throughout the year. You've continued to demonstrate a strong philanthropic spirit by maintaining and establishing new funds, and recommending hundreds of grants to local nonprofit organizations.
In an effort to assist you with carrying out your end-of-year philanthropic goals, please see below for deadlines regarding year-end giving activities:
STOCK AND CASH GIFTS (check, wire, online) submitted to the Community Foundation by Dec. 31 will be earmarked as a 2023 contribution. Note: The gift must be in the Community Foundation's account by Dec. 31 to be eligible for a 2023 tax deduction.

** Checks mailed can be earmarked as a 2023 contribution if postmarked by the US Postal Service on or before Dec. 31.ONLINE DONATIONS to public funds through our online donation platform must be made on or before Dec. 31 to be eligible for a 2023 tax deduction. If you wish to make a donation to your individual or family fund online, please contact Kelly Dix at kdix@givewesterniowa.org for your unique donation link.
