Community Impact Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 are available to area nonprofit and city organizations whose innovative and meaningful work benefit the lives of Pottawattamie County residents.

The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa grant application is open May 15 through June 15. Grants starting at $10,000 per organization are available for projects in one (or more) of the following focus areas: Education Initiatives (STEM); Accessible and Affordable Childcare; Women's Health, Safety and Well-being; and Aging in Place.

The Southwest Iowa Mental Health & Substance Abuse Fund grant application is open June 15 through July 15. Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 per organization are available for projects in one (or more) of the following three focus areas: Education; Raising Awareness; and Providing Learning and Development Opportunities for area service providers.

The Henry K. Peterson Foundation annually provides grants to nonprofit organizations who, as part of their stated mission, provide services to the disabled population of Southwest Iowa.

Four Corners Community Foundation is accepting grant applications for its Southwest Iowa Impact Fund through 11:59pm November 10, 2023. In 2023, one $1,000 grant will be awarded to a nonprofit organization.


This fund is available for nonprofit organizations in rural southwest Iowa communities focused on economic development, rural development, community development, job retention and growth, workforce development, and program assistance for vulnerable children and families including services that assist those over 51% low to moderate income areas.
